Could you add avahi-demon in your great docker image ?

If you make a folder within your /config volume named init.d then create a file named avahi you can put the following into the file and it should enable avahi in the existing image.

  apt-get update
  apt-get install -qy --no-install-recommends avahi-daemon
fi
mkdir -p /var/run/dbus

dbus-daemon --system
avahi-daemon -D
