[BUG] OpenSSH generates invalid function argument errors

The invalid function argument error has been happening since OpenSSH 8.3. Some call to the OSS CRE is generating this.

After some investigation, it looks like the size passed to read() is exceeding 56Kb and generating the error. We need to go through the code looking for occurrences of this.
