To make tapping easier on mobile, given that there will be no keyboard available, add "tap areas" (or buttons) on mobile to input points for each subdivision. There could be several layouts for this - grid, column or even a more economical design that accounts for the movement of the thumb or fingers on the screen. These options should be select-able in settings.
