Installation through bower

1. Why it's
   bower i iosslider
   if it's plugin for jquery? It should be
   bower i jquery.iosslider
2. Why it's only in bower library? I need install bower just for this plugin. Why not in npm? Jquary can, and jquery.easing can.
   npm i jquery.iosslider
   would be better. Why not?
   With bower it's "house (bash/cmd) in house (nodejs) in house (npm) in house (bower)".
