User groups

I have some ideas as to how to implement but a guide or specific support for grouping users could be very helpful for many app developers.

Ideas:

1. in-app, shareable magic code generation for one user to invite another user to join their group
2. ability to store information as part of a link (e.g. a member of a group can be a manager of the group too, maybe even other roles; is the best way to do that is to create multiple links such as groupManagers, groupMembers, groupLeads, groupWhateverOtherRoles or can data be associated with a link to describe the link?)
