Updating to NIEM 3.x

Hi guys,

I'm doing an evaluation of NIEM 3.1 (beta) and would like to use this tool as part of that. Is it possible to update the definitions of the available types and could you point me to instructions if they exist?

Hi Tom,

Glad to hear you’re evaluating NIEM 3.1. Unfortunately, the open source NIEM UML implementation currently only implements the UML profile for NIEM 2.1 and hasn’t yet been updated to implement the UML profile for NIEM 3.x. The release of NIEM 3 included new or relocated types and elements, but it also included some new architectural concepts that required some modifications to the profile, so that’s why it would be more than just updating the definitions in the current tool.

I’m hopeful to see a NIEM 3 UML implementation soon.
