Version tags and github releases

Hello,

I'd like to request that the istatd project start tagging the git repo with each release, even the ones marked as UNRELEASED in the debian/changelog file.

Additionally, it'd be fabulous to see versions available in the Releases section on the github page.

Lastly, a PPA with the dpkgs that 'make dpkg' produces would be super handy.
