query string for content functions, QSA into rewrite rule

It could make sense to change the [L] at the and of rewrite rule to [QSA,L] so that query strings could carry parameters for the content functions.
I am quite new to the rewrite enginge, hence I wonder if this could raise any security concern about the qs parameter used by the CMS itself?
