Orange lights

So ive been trying to install the pluto IIx in my gamecube, the first one I did, fried, killed the gamecube, and Helder branded Pluto IIx, this time, Because I didnt want to mess it up again, I went with a Pluto IIx rev. C preloaded with GCvideo, and hand wiring. Turning it on the new GameCube, lights 29 and 28 come on, 29 stays solid, 28 however blinks indefinitely, and no HDMI output is given, AND the analog output is scrambled. Ive checked solder joints, and theyre all properly soldered

I used
Pluto IIx purchased from knjn (preloaded with GCvideo 3.1)
IDE wire for connections
Wire lengths no longer then 3 inches

Is there a chance the IDE wire isnt up to the task? I really want to be done with this mod
