Description
Hi,
First of all, I love this map and many thanks for your continued work on this and sharing this!
Just a thought, no high priority. But I would be interested to display this map on a non-interactive 24 inch monitor in our hackspace. With the AS of this hackspace selected. So that people new to dn42 can quickly get a feeling of how this network looks like and where in this network this specific hackspace and therefore they, while standing in front of the screen, are located. For doing that I think there could be a few things that would make it a bit difficult to use this map on such a non-interactive monitor:
Issue 1.1): Small font size for nodes labels
When opening a link like this: https://map.iedon.net/#4242421976. Then the font size of the node is quite small. I can (manually) zoom in to increase it, but then I see even less neighbor nodes.
Issue 1.2): Not all neighbor nodes on the default cutout
When opening a link like this: https://map.iedon.net/#4242421976. Then not all neighbor nodes are on the default cutout. In this example I can't see the FFDA node. It would be great to be able to also see all neighbor nodes and their labels.
Issue 2): No zoomed-out, complete overview version from link?
Is there a way to open a link like https://map.iedon.net/#4242421976 completely zoomed out, so that one can see all nodes without any interaction? Like is there a HTTP GET parameter to a) set the zoom level and b) the center, while still selecting a specific node?
This view would be unrelated to 1.1 + 1.2. I think I'd display the zoomed-in version for like 15 seconds and then the zoomed-out version for another 15 seconds. (And this monitor cycles through a bunch of other, non-dn42 related web pages before and after that, too.)
Again, thanks for your work on this map!
