Hi Ian,
Thank you for sharing the Small NMEA2000 Library! It would be fun to test this. Do you know if there is any open source circuit design based on Attiny and the MCP2515 can controller?

You can find some examples here at these locations. I tend to use a Attiny 3226 but the code also works on a 326p. I have not tried it on smaller chips. In general, I tend to use ESP32 3C's in preference unless there is a compelling reason not to (eg an accurate onchip ADC)

It was written because I could not get the excellent https://github.com/ttlappalainen/NMEA2000 to work in < 3K ram
