How to skip only certain attribute values (i.e. objectClasses)?

I'm experimenting using LdifCompare to sync LDAP servers from different vendors, so left and right are generated from ldapsearch.

Since in left there are some proprietary objectClass values that I'm not interested into, but others (like "organizationalUnit") must of course be kept, how can I tell this tool to only skip certain attribute values?

There is no built in functionality at the moment for skipping certain values.

It's a good idea though.

What you could do is to use LDIFTransform (https://github.com/idsecurity/LDIFTransform), my other project and pre-process the left file.

The actual work is done on line 99.

Replace unwantedObjectClass with the actual objectClass value you want to remove:

entry.removeAttributeValues("objectClass", "unwantedObjectClass");

You can run it like this:

java -jar LDIFTransform-1.5.jar doc\properties-template.properties d:\left.ldif d:\left-transformed.ldif objectClass.js none NoSort
