Improve multiple photo uploading

Describe the solution you'd like

Since Flickr is, basically, going bye bye, I'd like an improved photo uploading procedure that mimics to an extent the flickr ux.

I don't want to get fancy with their organising feature, but a minimum would be:

• Ability to select multiple uploads in a block, without needing to "add new photo" each time
• Option to have these multiple uploads grouped together as a single photo item with multiple photos, or as multiple single photos in a stream

Describe alternatives you've considered
Accept a plugin or backend process to do this that uses the photos Photo object, rather than jumping straight off the current photo upload UI

Additional context

This is for ongoing usage, I'm not talking about a one time import from Flickr (which already exists, see https://github.com/mapkyca/KnownFlickrDumpImport)
