Request: Interact with clips in arrangement view

Is it possible to add MIDI notes to a clip in the Arrangement View?

Hi @n1k0la1E, this isn't presently possible; currently, the AbletonOSC API is mostly focused towards interacting with clips in the Session view, but there are certainly internal Live APIs that would enable this.

This would require a new API namespace, something like:

/live/arrangement_clip/add/notes [track_id] [clip_id] [...]

But this would need some thought on how to index and access clips when in arrangement view (compared to in session view, when each clip obviously has a numerical index in the track).

I'll re-open this issue so that it's on the list.

@ideoforms I need this for a project I'm working on so I'll work on implementing.

I did have a thought that clips could be extended with an optional parameter (0/"session" or 1/"arrangement"). Default would be session to maintain back compatibility.

Would be a very minimal change, but I understand if you'd prefer a new namespace(/live/arrangement_clip), I can see the logic in that as well.

From the testing I've done, getting a list of arrangement clips returns them in sequential order.
