Building ARX using IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition 2022.2

So far, I was able to build ARX by importing an eclipse project. So first one should build the project using eclipse as described here.

After that use these steps:

Notes: 1. Make sure that you are using the same JDK compiler version for both eclipse and IntelliJ, or you may get an error when you open ARX in eclipse again. 2. Click on the figures to enlarge them.

1. Create a new project from an existing source

2. Select ARX folder that has been built by eclipse

3. Select Eclipse

4. Keep the default and click Next

5. Keep the default and click Next

6. Keep the default and click Next

7. Keep the default and click Next

8. Click on Add Ant build file when it appears (it will take some time to build the project for the first time )

9. Open Example1.java and click run (the green button on top), you should see the output in the terminal

10. Select Main.java and click on Run, you should see the ARX splach screen followed by ARX main window

Congratulation! now you can develop ARX in IntelliJ
