Memory Usage more than what's physically possible

im using a 8 gig system, running the program will suddenly make the program use like 20 gigs of memory, after that it'l freeze my system, i dont know what to post so please help

hm can you post your log file before the crash happens?

Also can you send what version of levelsync you're on and your OS version?

there is no log message, im using version v2.0.7, and im using windows 10 21H1, but i can provide you with my config file in case something is wrong (have to change it to txt to upload)

just a note though, i used this software on linux using wine before and it worked flawlessly so its ironic coming to windows it doesnt work anymore

Hm ok if there's no log file created next to the executable at all, could you try running the program from command prompt and seeing if there's any output?

Also btw I do have a Linux version now in case you switch back to Linux 😛

alright i did it run it in cmd, it spat out this error message

tried it on powershell also, spat out the same message, sorry i havent been doing much

wait i forgot to change the config file back to .yaml

here's the actual stuff, but it didnt show anything either, also did the same thing, almost froze my system by filling up the memory

Here's a debug build that should maybe output something into the terminal? Hopefully that should show us at which stage in the process does it fill up the memory...
Also I wonder if it's because the log path uses / instead of \

nothing either unfortunately, i think ill just dualboot linux lol, it'll probably be faster that way, sorry for wasting your time since i dont know why it doesnt output anything

nahnah it's no waste of time, if it's a bug with my program it's my responsibility to fix it 😛
weird that the debug version didn't output anything either, does changing the log path do anything at all?

tried changing the log file, didnt do much actually tbh, still the same

hmmmmm what if you set the levels and yeeted folder to some temporary blank folder???? I have no idea at this point

Having the same issue, tried the debug version posted here and it outputted nothing besides an "out of memory" message right before it crashed. No log either, even after changing the locations in the config to all be separate empty folders.

Then this may be an issue with the logging framework, if it crashes before a log is created. I’ll try updating dependencies, if that does t work I can try disabling the logging.
