I'll toss my hat in as well. I don't have much experience with C++, but would happy to assist on the Python side of things.

I would propose you to start discussing on how to do that on a shared google doc. We have of course some ideas, I could start to write them down and then open the discussion with you.

If you send an email to the mailing list (quickrank@isti.cnr.it) I will share the doc with you as soon as the first draft is ready to be presented.
