Description
Create an online back-up file browser where users can upload and categorize assets pertaining to our close friend community (fishstick). The infrastructure & UI can still be implemented in a generic way so that this concept can be use for more than just files pertaining to fishstick (if needed).
Questions/problems to solve
- What files do we allow? And what exactly do we want to store?
- Someone raised an idea that we should basically back up everything related to the community here. Photos, screenshots, videos, video recordings, audio recordings, websites, links, text files and so on. How feasible is this?
- How do we categorize files?
Website features
- login via hivecom auth and only accessible to certain roles
- categorized file browser which allows grouping (and sub-grouping) data by date (2 levels deep, year and month), file type and authors / related people
- simple but very explicit file-upload UI which guides people how to categorize the content they are uploading
- asset viewer
- Play audio & video files
- Text file viewer (code, markdown, rich text / docx support?)
- Fast image/photo viewer with exif data if available
- Website embed for legacy projects
- TBA
