add integration of real-time osm data decoder

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
it would be nice to add the possibility to directly render osm data; as an 
overlay / as its own layer; the Mapnik / Osmarender toolkits do the necessary, 
all we need to do is connect to them

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
hopefully, more efficient storage of data - particularly for datasets that are 
well described in osm files
