Do you think it would be possible to produce back a markdown from AST ? (keeping spacing too, like spaces and line breaks) 🙂

The AST does not have the spaces and line breaks information, so it is impossible to produce a Markdown string only from AST.

But you can use the position information of each AST Text node to find out the spaces and line breaks on the original Markdown string.

If you are wring a Markdown editor, you can use the same idea. Just leave the whitespaces as what they are and render only the "token" elements(markers and text nodes)
