Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When viewing a Plotly-based multi-variable plot (e.g., matrix, dot, violin, heatmap), the colour encoding icon (paintdrop) is used. This icon is not appropriate for these operations, and might lead to confusion.

Describe the solution you'd like
For these plot types, the icon should be replaced with the checkbox icon.

When not selected, then: https://fontawesome.com/icons/square-check?f=classic&s=regular
When selected, then: https://fontawesome.com/icons/square-check?f=classic&s=solid

(Or MUI icon equivalent)
