Description

@Mdmdma

In the book it is stated “In fact, the meaning comes from mathematics where map refers to “an operation that associates each element of a given set with one or more elements of a second set”.” This is in general not the case, as maps are normally defined as an operation that associate each element of a given set with exactly one element of a second set. This second set can be of higher dimension than the first set, but the mapping is still unique.
