Hi there,
I'm a regular user of the Paisa Android app and first off, I want to say a big thank you for building such a helpful tool. It's been a game-changer for my personal finance management. I use it almost daily to keep track of my bank balance, to the point where I’ve stopped checking it on UPI apps altogether. 😹
I do have a feature request that I think could enhance the app even further.
Often, when I’m out with a group of friends, I end up paying for everyone and settle up with them at the end of the month. For example, if five of us go out and I pay ₹500, that’s ₹100 per person. However, if I only record ₹100 in the app to represent my share, it doesn’t reflect the full amount I actually spent from my account. This makes it hard to get a clear picture of both my actual bank balance and who owes me what.
So, it would be great if there was a way to split a transaction by entering the total amount paid and then assigning shares to the individuals involved. Ideally, I'd love a feature where I can input:
The total amount of the transaction
The number of people it’s split between
Optionally, the names of the people involved
This way, the app could still reflect the true debit from my account while helping me track how much each person owes me. It’d really simplify things for users who often cover group expenses.
Happy to discuss this in more detail if needed!
Thanks again for the awesome app.
