Compilation procedure

How is the compilation supposed to work?
Running make in the root folder fails reasonably as the .qsf file has no reference to other source files.
Then, I tried opening the .qpf inside the mist folder. I do not have Quartus 17 configured for the FPGA in MiST so I had to open it with Quartus 13. It failed to find some files.
Rather than trying to fix the setup, I am just assuming that your setup is right locally and maybe some file is not currently in git?
By the way, have you noticed compilation improvements when using Q17 over Q13 for MiST?

Q17 cannot be used for MiST, as it has no Cyclone III support.
Did you update the submodules?
Yeah, the Makefile is obsolete, doesn't work.
But the newest binary release has all the latest changes.
