Possible to have lf refresh (update file info in currently displayed folder) regularly?

I noticed that if I execute a command to make a file executable within lf or have an outside script create/modify a file in the folder outside of lf operations, lf does not update it unless I move to a parent/child folder and then go back, in which case it refreshes. I wonder if it's possible to make it refresh somewhat more regularly or simulate the process of refreshing with a command. Has anyone done this before or have any leads on what to do?

Try adding set watch true to your config file. Something similar was asked in #1877 recently.
