I think i need to update meson, but how, if no meson in recipes?

I've now added Meson >= 0.57.0 to BuildDependencies in commit a2d618e

However atm be have a bug with our Alien dependency version resolution:

CheckDependencies: PIP3:Meson is not installed.

Compile: Alien install of PIP3:Meson b''
ERROR: Invalid requirement: "Meson==b''": Expected end or semicolon (after name and no valid version specifier)
    Meson==b''

As you see it tries to install Meson version b''. This is a bug in the python code when parsing the version. Maybe @sage-etcher could look into it... I will make a dedicated bug report for it later :)

How to fix your issue:

As you have correctly noticed Meson is not in our recipes. For meson we are using the native python package manager "PIP3" using a subsystem called "Alien" (link). Alien ensures that the package is properly made available in our system.

So the way to update you meson is to run:

$ sudo Alien --install PIP3:meson

This will install the latest meson for you via PIP. After that run Compile Wayland as normal :)

NOTE: The Alien subsystem is currently undocumented in our wiki, I'll look into writing a dedicated page for it.

This one got fixed via a2d618e and @sage-etcher's gobolinux/Scripts#54 which implemented correct Alien version resolution.

You should now be prompted to update meson upon running Compile Wayland. Please let us know whether this has worked for you (remember to update your Scripts!).
