I have a very old videocard that supports only 470xx driver. I fixed this issue on ffmpeg but i have no idea how to fix it here...

Without knowing too much about your setup, I'll hazard a guess here...

The version of ffmpeg that you've compiled Shadow Cast against has, itself, been compiled with a version of nv-codec-headers that is incompatible with your version of nvidia driver / nvenc library. In the latest version (12.X) they removed support for the 470.X nvidia drivers.

In order for Shadow Cast to work for your setup, you would have to produce a custom build of ffmpeg against version 11.1.53 of nv-codec-headers, and then compile Shadow Cast against that build of ffmpeg.

Shadow Cast delegates all its encoding to ffmpeg, so there isn't really any other option here I'm afraid.

The ffmpeg utility is simply a command line front-end to the FFMpeg libraries (the libraries named libav*.so, e.g. libavcodec.so). Shadow Cast needs to link to these libraries, not the ffmpeg utility. To illustrate, if you run the following commands...

$ ldd /usr/bin/ffmpeg | grep 'libav'

and

$ ldd <PATH TO shadow-cast> | grep 'libav'

(Replace <PATH TO shadow-cast> to wherever you've installed the Shadow Cast binary)

You will probably see that output is different.

Well, then I need a fixed CMakeLists.txt that will link to /usr/local/lib instead of /usr/lib.

Ok, assuming that you've also installed the header files for your custom build of ffmpeg, as well as the libraries, and your directory structure looks something like...

/usr/local/
 |
 `- include/
 |   |
 |   `- libavcodec/
 |   |
 |   `- libavutil/
 |   |
 |   `- ... etc
 |
 `- lib/
     |
     `- libavcodev.so.X
     |
     `- ... etc

... Then you may be able to build shadow-cast against this using the configure option -DFFMpeg_ROOT="/usr/local", eg...

$ cmake -DFFMpeg_ROOT="/usr/local" --fresh ..

This is documented method of overriding where find_path and find_library looks in CMake find modules. I haven't tried this TBH, so your mileage may vary.

If this doesn't work for you then you may have to just hack the ./cmake/FindFFMpeg.cmake file to force it to look in a specific location.
