Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 4, 2026

Aleph with Beth ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Global Bible Tools mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

1. Data Collection

The App does not require user accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or phone number).

When the App connects to our servers to download texts, audio, or other resources, our server infrastructure automatically collects standard log data. This data includes:

  • IP Address (and derived country of origin)
  • User-Agent string (information about your device type and operating system)
  • Timestamps (date and time of the request)
  • Requested URIs (the specific files or data requested by the App)

2. Data Usage

The server log data we collect is used exclusively for technical and operational purposes:

  • App Functionality: To deliver the requested Bible texts and audio files to your device.
  • Security: To detect and prevent malicious traffic or abuse of our servers (e.g., using a Web Application Firewall).
  • Performance Monitoring: To monitor server capacity and fix technical issues.

We do not use this data to profile users, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking purposes. The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We only share data in the following circumstances:

  • Infrastructure Providers: Our backend relies on third-party cloud hosting and security providers (such as Amazon Web Services) to function. These providers process server logs strictly on our behalf to operate the infrastructure.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose server logs if required by law or valid legal process.

4. Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that personal data from a child under 13 has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures (including HTTPS encryption and firewalls) to protect the connection between your App and our servers.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
