Add a toggle to enable/disable icons in the File Explorer

Hello,
I use the Iconic plugin extensively and find it extremely helpful—especially for showing icons in Markdown tabs, in (with a small personal modification) the Another Quick Switcher plugin ,and in the Recent Files plugin.

While I do use the File Explorer, I personally don’t feel a strong need for icons there. Because of this, I would like to avoid any potential performance impact caused by rendering icons in the File Explorer.

Would it be possible to add a setting that allows users to toggle icon display in the File Explorer on or off?

Sorry for adding another request on top of this, but would it be possible to expand this feature request to “more fine-grained toggles for icon targets”?

In my use case (tab titles, Another Quick Switcher, and custom views in other plugins), it seems that the EditorIconManager invocation has a larger performance impact than File Explorer icons. I expect that being able to toggle EditorIconManager.ts itself—along with inline titles, properties, and tag pills—could further improve performance.

As a side note, if my understanding is correct, the beginning of refreshManagers in IconicPlugin.ts currently looks like this:

if (categories) {
categories = ['app', 'tab', 'file', 'folder', 'tag', 'property', 'ribbon'];
}

This seems to attempt refreshing all categories regardless of the input categories. If I misunderstood this, please feel free to ignore this comment.
