How can I remove autop filter from shortcode

Following the documentation I created a shortcode and using view in controller class to call a twig file. This adds <br> break and paragraph tag which I am looking to remove I tried using remove_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' ); but I suppose I am adding it at incorrect place. Any thoughts?
