Problem to enter in administration panel

I installed 2.1.1 version and when I want to enter en panel, link return to home page.
writting url/panel/ return to home page.

This is the expected behavior, as a security measure to prevent panel registration and access from remote.
Without this measure, anyone could register and gain access to the panel.
You can register locally and copy to remote the files from the folder site/user/accounts.

I tried install locally in Xamp, Mamp, Laragon and is impossible execute /panel/. Only files appear in folder:

Others CMS installed and working perfectly in my local server except formwork

What server are you using?
Currently Apache is supported out-of-box. You only have to make sure you have the .htaccess file in the main folder.
Perhaps your system treats files starting with dots as hidden files, so check carefully.

I’ve tried several servers, different versions of PHP… even multiple .htaccess files.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out how to install it.
It really seemed like a promising alternative, but I just can’t get it to work.

Have you tried the cli Development server with the composer serve command? It's not intended for production but it's ok for the local environment.

I created a yaml file and upload to site/user/accounts dir but to enter in /panel/ and indicated user and password in login, error 500 appear.

I've encountered errors trying to install Formwork locally, more errors when running composer serve or php bin/serve and generating the .yaml file, and even more when I finally manage to access the panel—where I get a hash-related issue in the file.

I'm getting tired of trying to install this CMS. I understand the intention to make the installation more secure, but other CMSs can be installed simply by running an installer.

I'm disappointed I couldn't get to try it out.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I understand it can be frustrating when setup doesn’t go smoothly.

woooowww, Finally, today I managed to install Formwork locally. I achieved it after installing Wampserver.
I successfully created the user.yaml file and deployed it to my staging site.

I think the problem is the lack of a Visual C++ Redistributable package.

The admin panel made a great first impression. We'll begin testing it over the next few days. I did notice the absence of an 'add folder' feature for file management, but overall I'm pleased with it.

I'm using Laragon and have no issue. I was using Wamp before but I like Laragon better. Just a FYI.

It seems it was a server setup issue rather than Formwork itself.
I hope you enjoy using it.
