Problem with saving automation settings

I have an issue when saving settings in version 2.3.1. (i just upgraded from the free version).

When I click on save, the database (configuration -> REVWS_SETTINGS) is successfully updated with the correct values (JSON), but upon reloading the module settings page, the default settings (I believe) are being used for the automation settings (order states, etc.). This results in wrongly stored values on the next save.
