how do I remove books from libaray without deleting them from disk?

Normally you can remove things from playlists in other programs without it affecting your files.

I tried uninstalling the program, then re-installing, but it still has my entire library playlist there.

I found out how to do it, you can delete the data files and then it will delete books from your library without removing them from the disk.

I just deleted the contents of this folder:

/home/user/.var/app/com.github.geigi.cozy/data/cozy
