Customise the link labels

I'm thinking of using this in a situation where the link between genes isn't as simple as "identity". I'm not sure exactly what metric I'll use yet, but for example if I wanted the link to be *similarity*, is there any way to use change the labels to represent this? It doesn't really matter that the JSON format would still say `identity`.
