First ever newsletter!:
I'm going to ask a few people to help create a dev-forum in telegram. Hopefully we can get one made soon!
If anyone wants help on making a small project in Speedie or Jeebox, let me know. I can sketch up a small demo or give some lines of code or whatever.
I'm also thinking about making an article comparing XML to Jeebox. A I've seen lot of articles criticising XML or JSON. If you want some articles written to explain things I can do that too.
I've written some documentation here already:
https://github.com/gamblevore/speedie/tree/main/Documentation
https://github.com/gamblevore/speedie/blob/main/Documentation/Message.md
...
Also, Perry (the IDE) is looking much better. Give it a go if you can. You could open the utils in /usr/local/speedie/Utils with Perry, for examples on how to use Speedie.
Also, I've spent a lot of effort making the whole project NOT need OSX or Mac anymore. Jeebox already didn't, but Speedie did. Hopefully Speedie can compile on Linux now... or at least will need only minor changes. I hope to get someone to port Speedie to Linux soon!
The code speedie creates, runs at C++ speed, while using python-like simplicity. So it should be good for embedded devices. And Speedie is basically cross-platform (unlike most GUI systems), and has a simple GUI, unlike python.
Obviously its missing a lot (like a debugger) but still... some people might be curious enough to want to try things out or help development.
