Slow when swiping at an angle

Hello,
  Swiping horizontally (0 degree) is fast . However, there is delay when swiping at an angle (ie 30 degrees). 
 This is happening on my iOS device. It does not happen in the browser,

Can you let me know if this is an issue or how to resolve it.
