POTION error

I have installed all suggested perl modules and third party software to execute POTION. But, while running the TRYP example dataset, the run completes with an empty results file. I get the following error message. Kindly suggest me on how to troubleshoot this issue.
POTION could not parse properly the trimal output file with group identity metrics!

Usually, when POTION dies at this step, it means you are trying to use one of the latest versions of trimAl (1.3 or 1.4). POTION currently supports trimAl version 1.2 (https://www.lmb.cnptia.embrapa.br//share/POTION/user_guide.html).
If that doesn't solve your issue, could you please tell me what is the extension of the latest intermediate file POTION produced and what is printed in this file? Also, could you please send me the log file?
