Python error during installation #5

Description

@ornamentist

This is probably something I'm doing wrong, but: I'm installing on a new Raspberry Pi Zero 2W attached to a Waveshare Photo Painter 7.3 screen.

It's a clean install of Raspberry Pi OS:

$ uname -a
Linux display-frame 6.12.47+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.47-1+rpt1 (2025-09-16) aarch64 GNU/Linux

I get as far as the pip install -r requirements.txt step in the installation and I see this error:

$ pip install -r requirements.txt

This could be a generic Python library error and not related to the project? Should I be using an earlier version of Python or Raspberry Pi OS?
