I would like to ask if you would be interested in making this project compatible with fpm The Fortran Package Manager which could facilitate making it easily used as a dependency in other projects for testing?

In this link https://fpm.fortran-lang.org/install/index.html you'll find information on how to obtain fpm (you can install it or build it from source)

This mini tutorial shows how to structure a project https://fpm.fortran-lang.org/tutorial/hello-fpm.html

Since fpm is both, a package manager and a build system, it will simplify adding dependencies, and standardizing the build process. A good dependency to have for starting a new project would be https://github.com/fortran-lang/test-drive which is a pure Fortran library for unit testing.

You might get some inspiration from other projects that are already using fpm (just a few out of many):
