Describe the bug

For some reason after some time editing sql file after some time I get the following notifications

I have no clue what causes them, how to reproduce etc.

Steps To Reproduce

How do I trace it? For me its on opening a sql file after some time, and number of notifications is also random

Expected Behavior

It does not affect me much except for some minor annoyance.

something is using vim.ui.select and there's no items given to select

But why is notification under Snacks Picker?🤔
Also, I dont see any relevant 'selects' in my whole config (which was very easy using picker btw)

So, basically, you can either filter out this notification with:

Or find the root cause of the problem by mocking vim.ui.select:

I added mock function in my LazyVim configuration and got this error in lsp.log:

Node.js v25.1.0

Error is only reproducible in Ansible files (filetype=yaml.ansible), when ansible-language-server kicks in. In my case it's not just annoying notification, but troubles with text selection and non-working LSP.

Not sure if this is caused by Ansible LSP or Snacks or something else.

Would be glad if you can suggest me where to dig next.

This error message isn’t very helpful. It’s best to include a reproducible example or repository (branch) with clear steps to follow.

Alright, I nuked ~/.cache/nvim ~/.local/share/nvim ~/.local/state/nvim directories and launched LazyVim. After reinstalling all plugins, LSPs, and linters the problem was gone. I'm sorry to bother you.

In case this is useful for anyone - I got the same error, but editing Solidity .sol files.

tldr: my issue wasn't a snacks issue, but missing tools that the LSP needed.

lsp.log contained:

Added the function from above, but with some extra debug output:

Relevant log output showed that the solc compiler was being called, and it wasn't in my path. Fixing that resolved the issue for me.
