command to list current settings?

Hi,

When I press the button on the top of my Aerox 3, a color pulses on the bottom. I assume I'm cycling through profiles with different sensitivities.

How would I list those profiles, and/or just list the current dpi settings etc?

I see options for setting all of these values, but not getting them.

Hello

There is no way to read the current config from the device.

Currently, Rivlacfg stores the last known settings in a file (in prevision for a future GUI), but it does not provide a CLI option to display it. You can find you settings in ~/.config/rivalcfg/*.json files :)

I was wondering the same thing. I was able to read that file to see what I last set. I think it would be helpful to have a function to do "cat ~/.config/rivalcfg/*.json" and list it under "rivalcfg -h"

I'm pretty sure that on launch GG asks the device for current config stored on it, but I had no luck deciphering the data.
For my mouse, SteelSeries Prime, the following packets are sent by GG on-launch (see the main function):

I tried using LZW decompression, but it would appear that whatever this data is it's not compressed with LZW.

I looked into disassembly of GG Engine, but found no mention of any device or any device config, so the configs (and commands to control these configs) MUST be stored on the device itself. This could mean that if a method for understanding the above data is found, then there's a way for EVERY SteelSeries device to be supported, without reverse-engineering each manually.

Also, I tried looking into what Engine actually does with the data, but I couldn't find any relevant functions in the disassembly and ghidra didn't help much either...

There's an oddity with data above, however: it's seemingly non deterministic. Here's a run of diff on the above data compared to the same data (received by running the C program again in quick succession):

I tried XORing, ANDing & ORing all the blobs together (in every pair and continuity i could) and got nothing comprehensive. Since it's a computer mouse we're talking about, whatever the method for storing configs is, it's probably something very simple, because having a very powerful CPU in a mouse doesn't sound like the brightest idea and I highly doubt anyone would opt for that.
