RFE: access HN article directly given a URL or article number

Often, I arrive at a Hacker News article via some referrer,
not while browsing. I would like to take advantage of
the better user interface provided by HNClient to read just that article.
For example, the collapsing of comments or the side-by-side panels.
But, I did not see a way to tell HNClient to just go to a given URL
or HN article number.
