Arduino mega compatible?

Hey. I want to build a similar project using an Arduino mega 2560. It doesn't allow midi via the native usb port so i would have to connect a din female end.. thats no prob.. i am not sure how to connect the key bed i have, korg sp200 weighted keys, to the arduino and adjust the code to work without the shift registers, its a 18+18 connector from the keybed

Hello. If keybed have 18+18 connector,  i guess this is key matrix. Maybe you need pull up or pull down resistors (depending on the keybed schematic) and digitalRead this 36 pins. I can't write more about connecting without keybed schematic. Please,  send me electrical scheme of keybed. About midi and USB.  You can try to make USB-midi bridge from mcu near usb,  which used as usb-uart converter to download firmware without isp programmer. THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. Finally someone who actually responds. I currently have a schematic of the connections to the main board. Unfortunately the service manual did not include a schematic of the keybed itself. I will try to get one done and send it to you ok. However in the meantime.. i could explain how the keybed is set up, or try to describe it. So the first obvious thing is that there are 2 switches per key, each has each switch has a a zener diode connected to it..and the diodes are both connected at one end (input or output, idk.) And at tbe other end they are connected to each switch. So that would be 3 separate sets of connection.. i checked and it seems to be a, 8x5x5 connection on one PCB and 8x6x6 on the other. I included the the connection schematic and a pic of the 8x5x5 pcb.

Where i can see included pic and schematic? Hey . Haven't heard from u. I need a little help with that types.h file on the code. I cant seem to include it in my library. I am wondering if i can paste the code in the direct sketch or something.. i am stuck there now. Also I want to use 4 shift registers, 2 as inputs and 2 as output.. i have a 16x16 keybed, how can i adjust the code for it to work?. I am still new to arduino so please bare with me

it is a simple diode matrix, you have to check with a tester the contacts to find the rows and colums. does the bus go into a pcb directly or are there some chips in the middle?

I have a dual matrix keyboard and would like to use it with the Arduino Mega. My keyboard has a double actuation system, in this case the sensitivity.
Through a simple code I managed to use it, but only with a constant speed and using half the matrix.
Have you been successful in making the project work on the Arduino Mega?
