Correct, and you have changed the thermal environment. |

Hello,
I would like to ask what happens in FDS when turning off the radiation sub model? I'm turning it off to speed up the simulation. My understanding is that when it is turned it off, the RTE is not solved; however, the total HRR in the gas phase will be reduced by the amount of the of the radiative fraction. So, Radiative energy is lost rather than being distributed in the domain. Is my understanding correct?
I turned off the radiation sub model for natural ventilation case where I'm studying the smoke layer height. I have observed a change in the smoke layer height compared to the radiation sub model being on. I'm not sure what could be the proper reasoning.
