FDS Controls for any sprinkler activation

I want to have an a door open on sprinkler activation, but I'm not sure which sprinkler will be the first to operate. I know I can load up the control command with multiple sprinklers but back-tracking the device ID is a pain because of how many sprinklers I have and the area where the first sprinkler could operate is pretty large. Is there a way to simplify the control command to the first sprinkler device?

You need to list the DEVC_ID on the ANY CTRL. There isn't a shortcut to that. You can use python, excel, etc. to help you generate the CTRL input(s) given the list of sprinklers. Even in a very large room, it is going to be one the sprinklers close to the axis of the fire and not a sprinkler far away. That should limit the potential list of sprinklers you need to consider. You could also just run your input for a brief period with a steady-state fire at a size where you would expect first activation and simply see which sprinklers are increasing the fastest.
