LinearVariationalSolver - preonly with pythonPC, update not being called

PR #648 converts Gusto's current custom linear solver for the Compressible Euler Equations into a pythonPC. update is not being called (even with self.solver.invalidate_jacobian()) and has to be forced. This should be investigated and fixed
