No sound on FF 4.0.1 Ubuntu 10.10

The demo site loads, no errors in console, no sound played.
I tried with the official.fm default track and a MP3 loaded from my pc.
How can I help you to debug this issue?

Tested with FF 4.0.1, Ubuntu 10.10, all addons disabled.

The Firebug Javascript console can give helpful error messages. Can you paste a complete log?

To open the console, just press F12, and reoad the page (preferrably from scratch: Ctrl+Shift+R)

I had success with a local MP3 file after noticing this message in the firebug console:

Uh oh, a free bitrate stream. We're fucked.
First error! code = 565, recoverable ? = true

That's was with the files I tried before opening the issue.
I tried with a file recorded with my camera and I could hear it perfectly well.

this.playing 1 channels, samplerate = 44100 audio, mode 0

It seems that I was just unlucky with my original selection but maybe you should popup a dialog with the error instead of logging it to the console.

Official.fm still doesn't work. I get no errors in the console. I even tried the http://jsmad.org/play/114579 URL.
It stops at "loading..."

Could you set a breakpoint at playOfm and see where it goes next? The fact that you have no error message at all is really weird.

Also, we've changed a bit the mp3 streaming infrastructure at jsmad.org 4 days ago so it might work for you now. Can you try again?
