Sorry about this post as it's not an issue, but I'm looking for some info about the BK4819_GetRSSI value and it's relation with Squelch level and I think you are the best person who can help me find this info.
I know the spectrum approach uses a manual threshold to compare the current RSSI value and decide if it will open squelch or not.
But how does the squelch level, that one we set on the radio itself, ranging from 0 to 9, correlates with RSSI level?
I mean, it is possible to say that when SQL = 1 it will open on a determined RSSI value? Or not and it's linked to SNR and/or Glitch level?
In older firmware versions I've seem some attempts to map the RSSI to SQL values (e.g., https://github.com/fagci/uv-k5-firmware-fagci-mod/blob/main/helper/measurements.c#L30 ) but if I force draw the bar or print debug the value when squelch is not open, more often than not the estimated SQL value is greater than the one set on the radio, and yet the radio SQL is not open by the tuner.
In the end, do you think there's any other approach to estimate what RSSI level correlates to the SQL level?
Thank you very much for your work.
