I know that the readme says you'll write it at some point, but the sooner the better 😄. I'm just asking if you planned on it anytime soon (looks like a really cool project 👍), plus docs are needed for creating a syntax package (I need one for Atom).

Whoa, hold up. This project is not ready to use yet in all sorts of ways. WebAssembly isn't even out yet! And this project is still only about two weeks old. It doesn't even have arrays, let alone hash maps. It'll be at least a few months before it's usable. I'm really glad you're interested but trust me, it's not time yet :)

What about just a short list of (known) differences to TypeScript:

• List of additional native types (I am aware of int -- are there others?)
• List of (currently) unsupported features (including yes/no/maybe plans?)

TypeScript is a big language that has had a team of people working on it for years and this project is just a few weeks old. The list of differences to TypeScript is not short; it's basically listing every feature of TypeScript. This will change over time of course. I understand this is probably frustrating but you've come across this project in its infancy. I don't plan to spend time documenting all of this right now since no one should be using this for real things yet anyway.

I plan to support most features eventually when they make sense and have an efficient ahead-of-time compiled representation. Some examples of things that may not fit that criteria are the "undefined" value, the "any" type, structural typing, exceptions, non-constant global variable initializers, and require()-style modules. Some examples of things I plan to add are a preprocessor, operator overloading, and C#-style pointer syntax/types + an "unsafe" keyword.

This sounds like you are effectively building a clean subset of C#?

ThinScript is designed to be an ahead-of-time compiled language that should feel very familiar to anyone coming from web development, especially people used to TypeScript. It's not a subset of TypeScript since it adds features and it's not a subset of C# either (examples: top-level functions, ES6 modules, may have structural typing). It will be syntactically close to TypeScript and semantically close to C# if that's what you mean.

@ evanw, "no arrays yet" =) I spent last hour trying to find out which syntax will apply for compiler. But my questions, is there no other int types? Only int itself?
