Fails to build on Debian and Ubuntu with GCC-14

Hi there!

Experiencing an issue reported at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1075099 in which it fails to build on Debian, and subsequently in Ubuntu where I'm traking the bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sooperlooper/+bug/2077440. Any fixes or patches would be appreciated!
